Critical exponent of the fractional Langevin equation.
We investigate the dynamical phase diagram of the fractional Langevin equation and show that critical exponents mark dynamical transitions in the behavior of the system. For a free and harmonically bound particle the critical exponent alpha(c)=0.402+/-0.002 marks a transition to a nonmonotonic underdamped phase. The critical exponent alpha(R)=0.441... marks a transition to a resonance phase, wh...
متن کاملLangevin equation with super-heavy-tailed noise
We extend the Langevin approach to a class of driving noises whose generating processes have independent increments with super-heavy-tailed distributions. The time-dependent generalized Fokker–Planck equation that corresponds to the first-order Langevin equation driven by such a noise is derived and solved exactly. This noise generates two probabilistic states of the system, survived and absorb...
متن کاملEffects of spatially-correlated multiplicative noise in the coupled Langevin model
Stationary and dynamical properties have been discussed of the coupled N -unit Langevin model subjected to spatially-correlated additive and multiplicative noise. We have employed numerical simulations and the analytical augmented-moment method which is the second-order moment method for local and global variables. It has been shown that the synchrony of an ensemble is increased (decreased) by ...
متن کاملLangevin equation with scale - dependent noise
A new wavelet based technique for the perturbative solution of the Langevin equation is proposed. It is shown that for the random force acting in a limited band of scales the proposed method directly leads to a finite result with no renormalization required. The one-loop contribution to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation Green function for the interface growth is calculated as an example. The Lan...
متن کاملSynchrony and variability induced by spatially correlated additive and multiplicative noise in the coupled Langevin model.
The synchrony and variability of the coupled Langevin model subjected to spatially correlated additive and multiplicative noise are discussed. We have employed numerical simulations and the analytical augmented-moment method, which is the second-order moment method for local and global variables [H. Hasegawa, Phys. Rev. E 67, 041903 (2003)]. It has been shown that the synchrony of an ensemble i...
